Hi friends! I’ll be speaking on an upcoming virtual panel entitled “Women Supporting Women,” hosted by Luminary.
In a recent survey conducted by SheSpeaks, 54% of women surveyed think women are supportive of other women sometimes, but not often. Join us as SheSpeaks discusses more of their research findings followed by an interactive panel discussion on how we can collaborate and support each other. Tickets are available here.
Moderated by Surabhi Lal, Chief Impact Officer for Luminary, panelists include Karen Ortiz, Administrative Judge at U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Karen Francis, Senior Corporate Counsel at a wellness company (that’s me!), Brandi Riley, Founder of Courage to Earn, and Aliza Freud, Founder and CEO of SheSpeaks.
I am particularly excited about this discussion as I will be focusing my comments on the kind of support that black women in corporate America need from their colleagues. Along with providing tips, I will also share instances in which that support was lacking and discuss the deleterious effect of white silence in the corporate world.
