culture give back travel

HarlemWorld, NYC: My First Google Panel!

I love culture because it builds a bridge wherever I go. I also love a good conversation! This week, I had an opportunity to speak on a Google panel in Harlem about my culture writing and the ways in which travel has influenced it.

My fellow panelists were: Tanyka Renee, Marketing Strategist and travel influencer; Sabrina Smith, Performance Planning Manager at Delta Airlines; Chanice Queenie Williams, co-founder of Black Millennial Travels; and moderated by Gordon M. Jackson, owner and operator of Yellow Block Bed & Breakfast.

The panel was a part of the Google Digital Coaches Program and Sandy Garcia (Harlem Google Digital Coach) organized and facilitated the event.

We had an enthusiastic audience of travel entrepreneurs, visual and digital artists, producers, and bloggers.  They were so engaged that our conversation ended being much more interactive than our 15-minute Q&A segment would allow.

It was an incredible experience. I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to share my vision and my purpose with fellow culture + travel enthusiasts.

Please stay tuned for details on my next speaking engagement!
